AKVOLA MICROBUBBLE GENERATOR™:
The intelligent akvola MicroBubble Generator™ induces fine gas bubbles (50-70 micron) using very little energy and very little space – without the need for a saturator or a liquid recycle stream like in DAF (Dissolved Air Flotation) and with a better separation efficiency than conventional IGF (Induced Gas Flotation). The microbubbles are created using low-pressure air, nitrogen, CO2, natural gas or ozone. They have a high surface to volume and ratio and agglomerate with particles and droplets, carrying suspended matter, microalgae, oil and organic flocs to the surface. These agglomerates form a float layer on the surface that is skimmed off the tank.
The unique process automation within akvoFloat™ enables our systems to achieve a high removal efficiency with high and variable influent oil, algae and suspended solids loads. Four years of R&D gathering operational know-how have allowed us to optimize the key parameters for a wide range of hard-to-treat waters over a broad range of temperatures, pH and concentrations. We are the only technology that dynamically reacts to changing influent conditions by adjusting the amount and size of microbubbles, cleaning strategy, flux, etc.
